Ingredients

  • 500 g 1 lb sirloin steak (cut into bite-sized cubes)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil or butter for richer flavor
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • ½ tsp salt adjust to taste
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • ½ tsp red chili flakes optional
  • 1 tbsp butter for finishing
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Equipment

  • Cutting board & Knife
  • Mixing bowl
  • Measuring spoons
  • Cast iron skillet or heavy pan
  • Tongs or spatula
  • Paper towels
  • Stove or cooktop

Method

  1. Pat the steak dry with paper towels and cut into evenly sized cubes. This helps them cook evenly and sear properly.
  2. In a bowl, mix steak with salt, pepper, paprika, onion powder, soy sauce, and Worcestershire sauce. Let it sit for 10–15 minutes.
  3. Place a heavy skillet (preferably cast iron) on medium-high heat. Add olive oil and let it get hot.
  4. Add steak pieces in a single layer (don’t overcrowd). Sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and slightly crispy outside.
  5. Reduce heat slightly, add garlic and butter. Toss everything together for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
  6. Remove from heat, garnish with parsley, and serve hot with your favorite sides.

Notes

Putting too much steak at once causes steaming instead of searing. Cook in batches if needed.
