Ingredients
  

  • 2 oz Captain Morgan Spiced Rum or your preferred spiced rum
  • 3 oz Blue Curaçao liqueur
  • 4 oz Pineapple juice
  • 4 oz Sweet and sour mix
  • 4 oz Lemon-lime soda like Sprite or 7UP
  • 1 cup Blue Powerade for color and extra flavor
  • Ice crushed or cubed
  • 1-2 Gummy sharks for garnish
  • Lime wedge optional garnish

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Measuring jigger
  • Large bowl-style glass
  • Bar spoon or stirrer 
  • Knife and cutting board if using lime wedges

Method
 

Frozen Version (like Applebee’s original): 
  1. In a blender, add ice (about 2 cups) along with the Captain Morgan rum, Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, sweet and sour mix, lemon-lime soda, and Blue Powerade.
  2. Blend until you get a smooth, slushy texture.
  3. Pour the mixture into a large glass or bowl-style cocktail glass.
  4. Garnish with gummy sharks and a lime wedge if desired.
  5. Serve with a straw and enjoy immediately!
On-the-Rocks Version: 
  1. Fill your glass with ice.
  2. In a shaker, combine rum, Blue Curaçao, pineapple juice, sweet and sour mix, and Powerade. Shake well.
  3. Pour the mixture over the ice.
  4. Top with a splash of lemon-lime soda.
  5. Add gummy sharks and garnish with lime.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, skip the rum and Blue Curaçao and replace with blue sports drink, lemon-lime soda, and fruit juices.
